My daughter told me that this month was “Mend it March” on social media, with some hashtags like MarchMendingMadness, MendMarch, and the like.. If you’ve been reading my earlier blogs, you know that pretty much every month is a “mend it month” for me, as rescuing a knitted piece is something I find very rewarding. It’s a mixture of practicality and the satisfaction that I know the knitting craft well enough to plunge in, snip, drop off, pick up and reknit.

I have a very popular free basic glove pattern on Ravelry.. Recently, I received an email asking how one can place a stitch pattern on the back of the hand. Wrapping one’s head around how to do it for the right AND left glove while flipping the glove over in one’s head is a bit tricky, but the way a basic gusset is designed, it is still pretty easy.

So think of the worst knitting scenario possible…it’s a week from Christmas…and you remember that you really haven’t gotten done with the sweaters or cowls or whatever were supposed to go under the tree. Oh yeah….the nightmare is real…like now. Enter to your rescue…THE HOUSE MOCCASINS.
