Evening Light Shawl

Evening Light, a lovely beaded shawl easy enough for the first time lace knitter and interesting enough for any knitter.  The pattern repeat is not complicated and the beading adds sheen and sophistication.  

Imagine the evening light filtering through the leaves and branches of a forest…light and shadow shifting through the openings in the canopy above to dance along the forest floor. And the twinkling sparkle of the sun flitting through the moving branches. This shawl mirrors that serene sense with it’s open lattice lace areas and beaded sparkle.

The beading adds both glimmer and a nice weight to the shawl.  You add the beads to individual stitches with a crochet hook and then work that stitch.

I really think you will enjoy the simple elegance of this lace shawl.  And picking out the beads for the fingering weight yarn is so much fun...do you want a subtle effect with beads which matches closely to the yarn, or will you pick a contrasting bead color for a bolder effect. Either way is beautiful.
